Stern view of McMorris in Hong Kong. USS Goldsborough DDG20 (a Pearl based "Can") is tied up portside to. The Goldsborough had arrived from the "Gun Line" in Vietnam where a boiler explosion had killed three men. Note Chinese civilians walking about and cases of Coco Cola on deck. Ship to the far right, in the distance, is the USS Piedmont AD17. The McMorris and the Piedmont had previously been in Subic Bay, Philippine Islands, but arrived at Hong Kong separately.

(Scott's note: I especially like this picture as my brother Dan was on the Piedmont and then the Goldsborough. Here we have all three of our ships in one shot!)

Another stern view of McMorris, this time tied up outboard of the USS Somers DDG34 in Subic Bay, Philippine Islands. The stern aspects of the two ships are significantly different. The round hull of the Mac is very apparent.
