At sea with crewmembers on the fantail lined up to eat steak. One identified crewmember (far right) Gordan "Jack" Shepard. He attended the first reunion in Charleston SC 1997.

Duane Baumgartner (ENCS) in the Machine Shop. Entry to this space was just off the starboard centerline at rear of the messdecks, if memory serves correctly.

Duane Baumgartner (ENCS) with Stephen Gertsch (BM3) fishing off the fantail (left to right). Note gangplank lashed to depthcharge rack, bag of charcoal to the front left.

McMorris gets her forward gun mount lifted off by dockside crane (Bravo piers, Pearl Harbor, HI). By his posture, the officer standing just left of center in front of MT31, is the CO, LCDR Hark (now deceased). The enlisted man at far right looks like GMG1 Maddon (now deceased). A sister ship of McMorris is moored outboard. You can clearly see the Squadron insignia of Escort Squadron One. "Huakai Alii."

The forward gun mount is resting on Bravo piers. To the right, the lights of Ward Field. To the left, Merry's Point Landing.

The "Mac" tied to Bravo piers. Lines are "doubled up" and "frapped." Note "rat guards" down towards the bollards. Note also, the absence of the forward gun mount at this point.
